    Apple Kuchen

    Recipe Introduction


    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup butter (1 1/2 sticks)
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 egg
    2 tablespoons milk
    3 cups fruit (apples, rhubarb, peaches)


    3 eggs, beaten
    1 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup milk


    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons butter
    Cinnamon


    Dough:
    Mix 1 1/2 cups of flour, 3/4 cup of butter, and salt as for pie
    crust. Add 1 egg. Add 2 tablespoons milk; beat. When the liquid is
    absorbed, pat the dough into a 9x13-inch pan. Do not roll out.

    Filling: Place the fruit on the dough. Mix 3 eggs,1 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, and the milk; pour over the fruit.


    Topping: Mix 1/2 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of butter until crumbly. Spread over the top of the fruit. Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 to 50 minutes.


    Serves 6 to 8
