Easy Chocolate Angel Food Cake
Recipe Introduction
1 box Angel Food Cake Mix (I used Betty Crocker's)
1 1/4 cup water
1/4 cup cocoa, sifted
1/4-1/2 tsp. Hershey's chocolate syrup
Combine flour packet from the mix & cocoa, then prepare cake
according to pkg. directions. Add choc. syrup to batter (1/4 tsp.
didn't seem to do it for me, so I added a squirt more...). Pour
batter into your ungreased tube pan and pop into a preheated 350 oven
on the bottom rack for 37-47 minutes (I was worried about the 2-hour
suggested cooling time, inverted of course, but this was not a
problem for us. By the time we had dinner and were ready for cake and
coffee, this puppy was ready to go, no problem, when I took it out of
the pan about 1 1/2 hrs. later!)
