Recipe Introduction
Good dip,not peppery. If you want to kick it up, just add cayenne, Tobasco,hot sauce or pepper of your choice, to taste.
List of Ingredients
- 1 Can Chili (no beans)
- 1 Can Chili ( with beans)
- 1 Philadelphia Cream Cheese (8 ounces)
- 1 bag Fritos (scoop type)
Instructions
- Can be prepared on stove top, but easier done in microwave. If using stove, double boiler should be used to melt the cream cheese before mixing.
- Break or slice cheese, in about 4 to 6 pieces.
- Put chili and cream cheese into appropriately sized microwavable container
- Microwave on high for about 2 minutes.
- Stir and mix.
- Microwave for another minute or until thouroughtly heated.
- Stir
- Let dip set until cool enough to eat.
- Use large scoop Fritos to dip and eat.
Final Comments
This makes enough dip for about 6 people, as an appetizer.The recipe can be doubled, tripled, etc, according to the amount of people expected.
if one desires, a little browned ground meat can be added to the recipe to make it thicker and meatier.
