Mom's Italian Style Stuffed Mushrooms*
List of Ingredients
20 medium mushrooms (about 1/2 lb)
1 medium clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp basil leaves, crushed
1/4 cup butter or margerine
1 cup soft breadcrumbs
Recipe
Remove stems from mushrooms, finely chop. In saucepan, cook chopped stems with garlic and basil in 3 tbs butter until tender. Stir in breadcrumbs. Meanwhile, brush mushroom caps with remaining butter and place in baking pan. Spoon filling into mushroom caps. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until hot.
Makes 20 appetizers.
