    Apple Spice Bread*

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 C Rome Apples, Coarsely Chopped (2)
    Scant 1 C Sugar
    1 1/2 C Flour
    1 t Soda
    1/2 t Salt
    1 t Cinnamon
    1/2 t each: Ground Nutmeg, Allspice
    1/2 C Oil
    1 Egg
    1/2 C each: Raisins, Chopped Nuts



    Recipe

    Grease 9 x 5 loaf pan. Preheat oven to 350.
    Combine Apples, Sugar and Spices. Let stand 1 hour. Blend in Oil and Egg. Combine Flour, Soda and Salt; add to Apple mixture, stirring just until moistened. Stir in Raisins and Nuts.
    Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake about 1 hour or until Bread tests done with toothpick inserted in center.
    After Bread is completely cooled, wrap in foil and allow to stand 24 hours before slicing.
    Yield: 1 Loaf

    This is absolutely THE best Apple Bread I have EVER tasted.
    Extremely moist.
