    Perfect White Bread

    List of Ingredients

    6+ C Flour
    2T + 1 1/2 t Sugar
    2 t Salt
    1 Envelope Fast Rising Yeast
    2 C Water
    1/2 C Milk
    3 T Butter

    Recipe

Mix 5 C Flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a very large bowl.
Heat water, milk and butter to 125-130*.
Stir hot liquid into dry ingredients and to make a soft dough that does not stick to bowl.
Turn out onto floured surface and knead in 1-2 C more flour until dough is smooth and elastic and no longer sticky (about 8-10 minutes).
Cover with bowl and let rest 10 minutes.
Cut dough in 1/2, roll out and shape into loaves.
Place in 2 greased loaf pans, cover with greased wax paper and allow to rise until doubled (40-60 minutes).
Bake @ 400* 30-35 minutes. Turn out onto racks to cool on sides.
    Yields 2 Loaves.
This is soooooo good and so easy to make. I've made four loaves this week alone!
Plain ol' generic flour works just fine in this. I cut the sugar amount down from 3 T, as I thought the initial recipe was a tad too sweet.
Going to attempt to make cinnamon swirl bread out of this next week. Stay tuned...
