2 C quick oats
3 C boiling water
1 1/4 t salt
butter
maple syrup
Recipe
Stir oats and salt into boiling water. Cook 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Cover. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Pour into an 8x5" loaf pan. Cool. Chill overnight. Turn out. Cut into 1/2" thick slices. Brown in butter over medium heat in skillet, turning once. Serve with butter and syrup.
Serves 6.
