1/2 C butter
1 C sugar
3 eggs
1 C walnuts, chopped
1 C flour
3/4 C Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 t vanilla

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Add remaining ingredients, except walnut halves, and mix well. Spread in buttered 9" square pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. Cool in pan on cake rack. Spread with frosting. When firm cut into squares, and press a walnut half in center of each.
Cocoa Frosting: 1T butter, 3 T milk, 1 1/2 C confectioners' sugar, dash of salt, 1/4 C cocoa, 1/2 t vanilla. Heat butter and milk until butter is melted. Mix next 3 ingredients. Add milk, stirring to blend. Then add vanilla and beat with spoon 1 minute.
