2 C Flour
2 t Baking Powder
1-1/2 C granulated Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt
3/4 C Butter
1 t Vanilla
2 Eggs
3/4 C Milk
Recipe
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt
and butter as for a pie crust with a pastry blender. Save 1 cup of the crumbs for topping.
To the remaining mixture, add the vanilla, eggs, and milk and mix well.
Pour batter into an 8" x 8" square greased and floured baking pan.
Sprinkle the reserved crumbs on top of the batter
Bake for 50-65 minutes at 325 degrees until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cut into 9 equal servings. Double the recipe for a 9" x 13" pan.
