    Almond Butter Crunch

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup blanched slivered almonds
    1/2 c butter -- no substitutes
    1/2 c sugar
    1 T light corn syrup

    Recipe




    Lightly spray 8 inch square pan with Pam Combine all ingredients in a
    nonstick 10 inch skillet or Dutch oven. Bring to a boil over medium heat,
    stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly until mixture turns golden
    brown about the color of caramels, about 5 or 6 minutes. Working quickly,
    spread candy in prepared pan. Cool about 15 minutes or until firm. Break
    into pieces.

    TIP:
    This recipe can be doubled but please use a bigger pan to cook it in. If you
    do this, you will need to boil the mixture longer. Approximately 14-16
    minutes. DON’T add the nuts until the last 4 minutes of cooking time or
    they will get a little darker than you want.
    Note:
    You can also use macadamia nuts.
