2 cups sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
3/4 cup water
red food coloring
Prepared apples (washed, dried, and skewered)
Recipe
Heat until sugar is dissolved. Tint with food coloring. Cook until it
reaches hard crack stage (300°) Set syrup over boiling water and plunge
prepared apples into syrup. Set to harden on greased cookie sheet, foil, waxed or
parchment paper.
