Easy Shortbread Cookies
List of Ingredients
1 C flour
1/2 C corn starch
1/2 C confectioners sugar
3/4 C (1 1/2 sticks) butter
1 t vanilla
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350*
In medium bowl combine flour, corn starch and confectioners sugar; set aside.
In large bowl beat butter with mixer until smooth.
Add flour mixture and vanilla. Beat until well blended.
Scrape dough into a ball with spatula.
Chill in bowl.
Shape dough into log (sprinkle surface with confectionery sugar when shaping).
Wrap in waxed paper and chill log until firm.
Slice and bake until slightly browned on edges
12 to 15 minutes.
Suggestion: If possible, use parchment paper to bake the cookies on.
