Shortbread Cookies
List of Ingredients
1/2 C sugar
1 C butter, softened
2 C flour
4 T cornstarch
Recipe
Heat oven to 350F.
In a large bowl, combine the 1/2 cup sugar and butter creaming until fluffy. Stir in cornstarch and flour mixing well.
Divide dough into 18 equal pieces and shape into balls. Roll balls in sugar and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Flatten each cookie with a decorative cookie stamp or the bottom of a glass.
Bake for 9 to 12 minutes until bottoms are lightly golden brown. Cool 1 minute before removing.
Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
