Turkey Shephard's Pie
List of Ingredients
1 # Ground Turkey
1 T Olive oil
1 C Chicken broth
1 C diced Celery
1 medium Green Pepper diced
1 C sliced cooked Carrots
1/4 C Flour
4-6 peeled Potatoes boiled and mashed with 3 T Margarine & dash of Salt and Pepper
half of a medium Onion diced
dash of Salt and Pepper
Recipe
Brown turkey over medium heat in olive oil, breaking up large clumps. Add celery, green pepper and onion. Continue cooking until the vegetables become golden, about 5 to 10 minutes.
Mix the flour into the cold chicken broth until smooth. Add to the pan and stir. Add carrots, salt and pepper
Cover, and allow to cook about five minutes or until it comes to a boil Remove from stove, place contents in a loaf pan.
Top the turkey mixture with the mashed potatoes and dot with some margarine. Cook for about 25 minutes at
350* or until just showing signs of browning on top.
