1 C sifted Flour
1 C Sugar (divided)
1 C Egg Whites
1 t Cream of Tartar
3/4 T Vanilla
1/4 T Almond Extract
Recipe
Sift flour and 3/4 cup of the sugar. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until frothy, and slowly add the remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Beat until stiff. Add vanilla and almond extracts. Sift flour mixture into the egg whites, 1/4 cup at a time.Pour into lightly greased tube pan. Cut batter with spatula to decrease any air bubbles. Bake in 350° oven approximately 40 minutes.
