Individual Beef Wellingtons
List of Ingredients
4 one inch thick Filets of Beef
1 T Parsley
1/3 # Ground Sirloin
1/4 # Liverwurst
Salt & Pepper
1 Slightly beaten Egg White
Garlic Powder, to taste
8 Frozen Puff Pastry Shells, thawedRecipe
Freeze meat 20 minutes. Brush with vegetable oil, season with salt & pepper, and garlic powder. Sear 5 minutes each side. Chill in refrigerator.
Mix liverwurst, sirloin, parsley, and garlic powder. Divide into four portions. Place each portion atop each filet.
Using two patty shells each, roll shell out to a 9x5 rectangle.
Place filets sirloin side down on pastry. Fold in sides and seal well.
Place seal side down on ungreased baking sheet and refrigerate until dinnertime.
Brush each bundle with egg white.
Bake at 450*
10 minutes=rare
12 minutes=medium rare
15 minutes=medium.
Serves four elegantly.
