Potato Jewelry

This is a fun project for kids.

Peeled potatoes
skewers
black cording or elastric string
paint (think of the possibilities!)

Recipe



Cut peeled potatoes into1" chunks.
Slide onto skewers leaving space between each chunk for potatoes to air dry.
Stand skewers up in either a chunk of clay or something that will keep them upright.
Dry several days until potatoes are rock hard and thoroughly dried.
Paint potato chunks while they are still on the skewers and allow to dry.
Thread onto cording to make necklaces or bracelets.
Note:
I have not tried this yet, but am thinking I will use the large side of a melon baller to cut the potatoes.
Then, perhaps, use gold and black or silver and turquoise paints to paint them.Voila! Designer jewelry!
