Apple Slices made with Pie Filling
List of Ingredients
CRUST:
3/4 Cup Shortening
2 Cups Flour
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
2 Beaten Egg Whites
6 Tablespoons Water
1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon Salt
FILLING:
2 cans apple pie filling apples
1 Cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon Flour
1 Tablespoon Corn Starch
GLAZE:
Powdered sugar
Milk
Vanilla
Recipe
Blend together Shortening, flour, and sugar. Add the other crust ingredients and mix well. Roll out. Press half into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour in 2 cans fruit pie filling or mix togetherthe sugar, cinnamon, flour, and corn starch for the filling and sprinkle over thinly sliced and pared apples. Add top crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Glaze while hot with glaze made of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
