1 3 # Chicken
Chicken Bouillon
1 chopped Onion
1 rib chopped Celery
Salt & Pepper
a dash Garlic Powder
a healthy pinch of Parsley
Boil until chicken is tender, debone chicken and re-add to stock.
Dumplings:
Self Rising Flour
Buttermilk
Recipe
Mix enough buttermilk into the flour (very moist, not dry) to be able to roll it out on a heavily floured board to about 1/2" in thickness. Cut into strips and pinch pieces off and drop into the rolling boil of the stock. By the time you do this to all of the dough stir gently to prevent them from sticking to the bottom. They will float and puff up when they are done. If desired when you have all the dumplings that you want, you can thicken the broth with cornstarch and water to desired thickness and correct seasonings, if necessary.
