Green Pepper Skillet Burgers

Serves 6
List of Ingredients
- 16 ounces ground 90% lean turkey or beef
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 tablespoons (1 1/2 ounces) dried fine bread crumbs
- 1 3/4 cups (one 15-ounce can) Hunt's tomato sauce*
- 1/2 cup sliced onion
- 1 cup coarsley chopped green bell peppers
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Twin
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine meat, black pepper, bread crumbs, and 1/4 cup tomato sauce. Using 1/3 cup measure as a guide, form 6 patties. Place patties in a large skillet sprayed with butter-flavored cooking spray. Brown patties on both sides. Add onion and green peppers. Continue cooking 4 to 5 minutes. Stir mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and Brown Sugar Twin into remaining tomato sauce. Pour sauce mixture evenly over top. Lower heat. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
