JO's Crunchy Loose Meat Sandwiches

Recipe Introduction
Don't turn your nose up at this one without giving it a try. I think you will be plesantly surprised by the wonderful crunch the shredded coleslaw mix gives this sandwich.
Serves 8
List of Ingredients
- 16oz ground turkey or beef (90% lean)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups shredded coleslaw mix
- 1 3/4 cups Hunt's tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 1 teaspoon JO's Loose Meat Seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Twin
- 8 reduced-calorie hamburger buns (80 calories per bun)
Instructions
- In a large skillet sprayed with butter-flavored cooking spray, brown meat and onion. Add coleslaw mix. Cook 5 minutes. Stir in tomato sauce, mustard, JO's Losse Meat Seasoning, black pepper, and Brown Sugar Twin. Mix well to combine. Lower heat. Simmer 10 minutes. For each serving, spoon scant 1/2 cup meat mixture on each bun.
Final Comments
HINT: 1) 1 1/2 cups shredded cabbage and 1/2 cup shredded carrots can be used instead of purchased coleslaw mix.
2) You can use 1 teaspoon Sloppy Joe seasoning in place of JO's Loose Meat Seasoning.
