    Marshall's Magnificent Macaroni Salad

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 cups macaroni pasta uncooked
    • 1 large tomato
    • 1 medium green bell pepper
    • 1 large red onion
    • 3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish (optional)
    • 1 tablespoon dill weed
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons extra spicey Mrs. Dash
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper
    • 4 tablespoons fat free mayonnaise


    Instructions


    1. Boil macaroni according to package.
    2. Drain and rinse in cold water to help chill.
    3. Dice tomato, pepper and onion.
    4. In large mixing bowl add macaroni, diced vegetables, pickle relish and spices.
    5. Toss until spices are distributed evenly.
    6. Add mayonnaise and mix thoroughly.
    7. Chill in refrigerator at least 1 hour before serving. Serve on a side dish of lettuce.

    Suggestion: For a main entree variation, try adding 2 cans of either water packed tuna, white meat chicken, or turkey to this salad. It makes a filling and satisfying light lunch.
