List of Ingredients
1-1/2 to 2 lb. Sirloin tips beef, cut into strips
3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
3 minced green onion (optional)
1 large onion, in strips
Small handful of raisens
1-12oz. or 16 oz. can of tomato puree or diced tomatos
(fresh tomatos out of garden can be used instead). Cut up fresh tomatos in to cubes. Add a small can of tomato puree to the fresh tomatos(not tomato paste or tomato juice).
Hot Curry Powder 3 tb. or more. I use half a jar. Spice Islands "Calcutta Heat"
Cornstarch to thicken if needed

Cooking:
In a large,fairly deep frying pan, heat a small amount of cooking oil(3-4tb.).
Add garlic, onions and meat, in that order, then curry powder. Stir-fry just until onions begin to turn translucent. Meat should be a little pink.
Add juice from diced tomatos or puree if using fresh tomatos. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, add tomatoes or rest of tomato puree and raisens.
Simmer 30-40 minutes;stirring occasionally.
Add green onions if desired(minced).
Thicken with cornstarch if needed. Add cornstarch a little at a time.
Serve over white or brown rice I use Basmati rice its light and fluffy with a nutty flavor...
