    Recipe Introduction


    We haven't tried this recipe yet. Some ingredients are not basic pantry stock that we have on hand. But the dish sounds soo good.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
    • 1 cup Splenda
    • 2 TBLS all purpose flour
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
    • 1 20oz can pineapple tidbits and juice
    • 1 15oz can mandarin orange sections
    • 1 10oz jar maraschino cherries, cut in half
    • 1 8oz tub light whipped topping ( I'll use Cool Whip)


    Instructions


    1. Boil pasta until tender. Rinse in cool water and set aside.
    2. Beat together Splenda, flour, salt, eggs and pineapple juice in a medium saucepan.
    3. Cook and stir over low heat until thick and just beginning to boil.
    4. Remove from stove and allow to cool.
    5. Pour mixture over pasta.
    6. Gently stir in pineapple tidbits, oranges and cherries.
    7. Chill overnight.
    8. Stir in Cool Whip just before serving.


    Final Comments


    This recipe serves 8-10, so I figure about 4-5, for us regular people that like more than a sample helping.
