JUMBO RASIN COOKIES

This is my mothers recipe.





List of Ingredients



• 1 cup hot water
  
• 2 cups rasins
  
• 1/4 cup margarine
  
• 3/4 cup shortning
  
• 2 cups white sugar
  
• 3 eggs (well beaten)
  
• 1 tsp vanilla
  
• 1 cup nuts
  
• 1 tsp baking powder
  
• 1 tsp salt
  
• 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  
• 1 tsp nutmeg
  
• 1 tsp allspice
  






Instructions



1. Pour water over rasins and boil for 5 minutes. Allow to cool.
   






Final Comments


FOR CHRISTMAS COOKIES ADD 1 CUP CHERRIES, 1 CUP WALNUTS AND 1/2 CUP COCONUT.
