Email to Sheri Graziano Recipe Categories: IMSheri's HOME PAGEAPPETIZERS BREAD MAINMEALS Stuffed Jalapenos These are very powerful and should always be served with lots of cold beer List of Ingredients 12 jalapeno peppers (2 1/2 - 3 inches long) 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 3 oz cream cheese, softened 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning 2 eggs 1 Tbs milk 2/3 cup fine bread crumbs 1 container sour cream (for dipping) Beer (for drinking) Instructions Cover a large baking sheet with foil. Set aside. Cut each pepper in 1/2 lengthwise. Remove seeds and membranes. Stir together cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and Italian seasoning in a medium mixing bowl. Spoon cheese mixture into each pepper half. Beat together eggs and milk in a small mixing bowl. Place bread crumbs in a shallow bowl. Dip each pepper half into egg mixture and then roll in bread crumbs. Place pepper halves, filled side up, on baking sheet. Bake in a 325 degree oven about 30 minutes (till tender and heated through) Serve with sour cream (and beer) Final Comments I got this recipe originally from the Dec 95 issue of Better Homes and Gardens.
