Cookie Apple Cobbler
List of Ingredients
- 4 cups sliced, peeled apples
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 20 ounce roll Pillsbury's Best Refrigerated Suagar Cookies
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, flour, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, allspice and lemon juice; toss to coat apples well.
- Spoon into ungreased 8 inch square pan.
- Using half of cookie dough,drop by scant teaspoons evenly over apples. (Wrap remaining cookie dough; refrigerate for later use.)
- In small bowl, combine sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon; sprinkle evenly over cookie dough.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until top is golden brown and apples are tender.
- YIELD: 6 servings
