    Garbage Can Cookies

    List of Ingredients






    1 c. shortening
    1 c. butter or margarine (the higher the fat content per serving, the better)
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. brown sugar
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    4 1/4 c. flour
    1 1/3 c. oats
    1 1/2 c. coconut
    3 c. granola cereal
    12 oz chocolate chips
    12 oz butterscotch or peanut butter chips
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

    Recipe



    Mix well, first 10 ingredients in order. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet at 375° for 10 minutes


    NOTE:This makes a lot of dough, so you need a very large bowl. After baking about 2 dozen cookies, I freeze the rest of the dough in balls for convenience.
