    List of Ingredients

    *1 1/2 cups flour
    *3/4 cup cocoa powder
    *1/2 tsp baking powder
*1 cup pecan pieces (or you could be really bad and add milk chocolate or white chocolate chips)
    *1 3/4 cups sugar
    *1 cup melted butter
    *2 eggs
    *2 tsp vanilla extract
    *cocoa powder for dusting
    -----
    Option 2ingredients:
1 large cooked chocolate pudding and whipped topping

    Recipe

Preheat the over to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper (this will make it easier to remove the brownies once they've cooled).
Sift together flour, cocoa and baking powder in a bowl. Mix in pecans (or chocolate chips!).
In another bowl, beat the sugar and butter until well combined. Mix in the eggs one at a time. Mix in the vanilla. Add the dry ingredients to the wet until just combined.
Spoon and spread into the pan. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the brownies pulls out clean. Cool on a baking rack.
Option 1: Once cool, dust the top of the brownies lightly with sifted cocoa powder.
    Cut into squares and serve.
    Bon appetit!

Option 2: make and cool 1 large cooked chocolate pudding mix. Allow both brownies and pudding to cool. Put the pudding over the cooled cake and top with a layer of whipped topping! (I make these and put small packages in the freezer to pull out and thaw for coffee treats.
