A great potluck dish and you don't have to worry about the noodles getting soggy.
List of Ingredients
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c green peppers, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
2 tbls. garlic salt
1/2 c. parsley flakes
6 lbs. ground beef
1 gallon can tomatoes (try to find crushed or diced tomatoes)
1 gallon can tomatoe puree
salt to taste.
Instructions
Saute onion and pepper in butter.
Add salts, parsley and ground beef. Cook until meat is light brown.
Add tomato products; simmer until creamy in consistency, stirring frequently to prevent sticking and burning.
My favorite way to serve: Pour heated sauce over hot cooked and drained spaghetti in a baking pan. Sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese and bake at 350° until cheese melts.
Final Comments
This freezes well, so make it up and you can skip the expensive jars of spaghetti sauce in the market.
