    Neapolitan Spaghetti

    A great potluck dish and you don't have to worry about the noodles getting soggy.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 c. butter
    • 1 1/2 c green peppers, chopped
    • 2 medium onions, chopped
    • 2 tbls. garlic salt
    • 1/2 c. parsley flakes
    • 6 lbs. ground beef
    • 1 gallon can tomatoes (try to find crushed or diced tomatoes)
    • 1 gallon can tomatoe puree
    • salt to taste.


    Instructions


    1. Saute onion and pepper in butter.
    2. Add salts, parsley and ground beef. Cook until meat is light brown.
    3. Add tomato products; simmer until creamy in consistency, stirring frequently to prevent sticking and burning.
    4. My favorite way to serve: Pour heated sauce over hot cooked and drained spaghetti in a baking pan. Sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese and bake at 350° until cheese melts.


    Final Comments


    This freezes well, so make it up and you can skip the expensive jars of spaghetti sauce in the market.
