    Recipe Introduction

I love oriental food and this is delightful. I like to add some extras such as cooked snow peas, mushrooms or other veggies.
For a tasty Hot and Sour Soup, look under soups and stews.

    List of Ingredients

12 oz. Lo-Mein Noodles (or substitute Spaghetti)
    --------------
    1 1/2 Tbls. Oyster sauce
    1/2 Tbls. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar (or artificial sweetner equivelant)
    additional salt if desired
    --------------
1 lb chicken, cubed (or peeled & deveined medium shrimp)
    3 Tbls. oil
    1 1/2 Tbls. sherry
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1-2 thin slices ginger
    scallions (green onions) sliced

    Recipe

1-Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add noodles and allow them to cook while preparing the remainder of the recipe.
2-Combine Oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar and additional salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
3-In a wok or heavy frying pan, heat oil, add chicken, garlic and ginger. As chicken starts to brown, add sherry, and scallions.
4-Give the sauce a stir and add noodles and sauce to the chicken combination. Mix well and allow to simmer just long enough for flavor to develop (about 2-3 minutes).
