    Cornbread To Bake In a Can

    Recipe Introduction

    Give in a basket with: Layered Soup Mixes, Chili Mix, Baked Bean Kit, Cajun Nuts, Layered Snack Mix

    List of Ingredients

    1/3 c. yellow cornmeal
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tbls. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt



    Recipe

    Place all ingredients in a small bowl, blend with a whisk.

    Place mix in a small freezer ba. Place bag inside a 14-16 oz. can. (Use cans from canned vegetables- be sure the size is 14-16 oz.)

    Relabel can if desired using instruction given under same recipe group.

    Here is the recipe for the recipient:
    1. Remove label from can.
    2. Preheat oven to 450°. Heat empty cans in oven.
    3. Empty contents of packet into a small bowl.
    4. Add 1/3 c/milk, 1 tbls. Vegetable oil, and 1 egg white. Mix until just blended.
    5. Remove can from oven. Spray well with cooking spray. Pour batter into can.
    6. Bake 25 minutes.
    7. Shake gently to remove from can. Allow to cool slightly. Slice and enjoy.
