Recipe Introduction
You'll see some ingredients repeated and it’s not a mistake. That’s how the layering comes in and gives a sand sculpture effect.
List of Ingredients
1 c. chopped hazelnuts, toasted and completely cooled
1/2 c. packed dark brown sugar
1 c. baking mix (Jiffy, Bisquick)
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 c. baking mixRecipe
Place and pack each ingredient as a layer in a quart sized canning jar. And make an instruction tag as directed below.
Note: Extra space remaining at the top? Just fill it with more baking chips, nuts or dried fruit found in the recipe.
INSTRUCTION TAG:
Empty contents into a medium sized mixing bowl. Stir in 1 stick of melted butter or oleo, 1 lg. egg and 1 tsp. vanilla until well combined. Shape into balls about 1 inch in size. Place the balls on a pre-sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes
Makes about 2-1/2 dozen cookies
