A simple chutney using fruit & vegetables in season
List of Ingredients
AUTUMN FRUIT CHUTNEY
2 Cloves Garlic
1oz Salt
2lb Plums Stoned
2lb Apples after peeling & coring
2lb Tomatoes
2 Lb Onions
1lb Demerara Sugar
½ Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
½ Tsp. Mace
½ Tsp. Mixed spice
1 Pint Vinegar
20z Root ginger
1lb Sultanas
Recipe
Chop all vegetables & fruit. Add spice. Boil in the vinegar until tender then add sugar & continue cooking until thick.
Pour into jars & seal.
