    Olive Garden Bread Stix

    List of Ingredients




    Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce:

    1 pint heavy cream
    1 stick butter
    2 tablespoons cream cheese
    3/4 cup Parmesan*
    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    Olive Garden Breadsticks:

    1 loaf frozen bread dough, thaw in bowl at room temp.
    pam
    garlic powder
    dried oregano, rubbed between fingers

    Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce:


    Simmer cream, butter, and cream cheese until all is melted, stirring constantly. Add cheese and garlic powder. Simmer for 15-20 min. on low or until cheese begins to brown slightly. Season with salt and pepper if desired.

    *Use the best quality Parmesan you can find, like a parmesano reggiano.

    Bread Sticks:

    When dough is soft enough to knead, spray your hands with Pam, and knead just until you can shape into cigar-shaped pieces (8-10). Place these 3" apart on Pam sprayed cookie sheets. Let rise in warm place until doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours. Then, holding Pam about 8" away from sticks, lightly spray top of each; dust with garlic powder, and oregano.

    Bake at 375 deg. about 20-25 min. or until
    golden brown. Cool in pan on rack.
