    Shirley's Cinnamon Sticky Buns

    My Mother's Family recipe

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 packet Fleishmann's Dry yeast
    • 1 cup warm water (100 - 110 degrees)
    • 1 large egg
    • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
    • 2 Tablespoons sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 3 cups flour
    • melted butter - I use very soft butter that I've microwaved for 15 seconds.
    • cinnamon sugar - 1/2 c granulated sugar, tablespoon cinnamon, 1/4 c brown sugar


    Instructions


    1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in water.

    2. Wisk in egg, oil, sugar,and salt.

    3. Add flour and mix.

    4. Cover and let dough rise for 2 hours.

    5. Turn out onto a floured board and knead.

    6. Spead dough into a rectangle. Lightly butter the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

    7. Roll dough, long side to long side, into a long roll. Cut into 1 -- 1 1/2 inch slices, placing them on a buttered cookie sheet, parchment or baking mats. Leave about 2" between each slice or enough room to allow for rising.

    8. Allow rolls to rise in a warm place for 2 hours.

    9. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.

    10. Makes about 16-20 rolls depending on how you slice them.
