    Coconut Pecan Frosting

    I use this frosting to make my version of German Chocolate cake. Use a Dark/Double Chocolate cake mix, baking as directed. Frost the sides with Dark/Fudge Frosting and the top with the Coconut Pecan Frosting.

    This is really chocolatey and rich. Men Love It!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 cup evaporated milk
    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
    • 3 eggs, beaten
    • 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut (I usually use the whole 14z package)
    • 1 cup chopped pecans or almonds
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla


    Instructions


    1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk, butter and eggs.
    2. Cook over medium heat until mixture starts to bubble, stirring constantly.
    3. Stir in remaining ingredients.
    4. Cool until of spreading consistency.
    5. Frosts 3-layer or 13 X 9-inch cake.
