    Nancy's Brownies

This recipe came to me from a fellow police officers wife, Nancy. I've lost touch with them, but think of her each time I made these.

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 eggs
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3/4 cup flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 stick butter, melted
    • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder

    Instructions

    1. Cream eggs and sugar together until light.
    2. Sift in flour, baking powder and salt.
    3. Add melted butter and vanilla.
    4. Add cocoa and mix well.
    5. Spread into a 9x9 baking pan
    6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
    7. Reduce baking time if using a glass baking dish. Don't let brownies overcook!

    Final Comments

I always start checking my brownies when they are about 75% into their baking time. They should start pulling away from the sides of the pan, but still be slightly moist in the center.
