Corn Dogs
I have a favorite booth for Corn Dogs at the Indiana State Fair. This batter is slightly sweet and oh so good with a Lemon Shake Up.
List of Ingredients
- 2/3 cup corn meal
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 lb pkg weiners
- flour for dredging
- vegetable oil for frying
- wooden skewers
Instructions
- Combine corn meal, flour, brown sugar and salt.
- Add the egg, 2 tablespoons oil and milk and mix.
- Skewer each weiner, dredge in flour and dip in batter.
- Deep fry at 375 degrees F. for 2-3 minutes until brown
