    Corn Dogs

    I have a favorite booth for Corn Dogs at the Indiana State Fair. This batter is slightly sweet and oh so good with a Lemon Shake Up.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2/3 cup corn meal
    • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 egg, well beaten
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1 lb pkg weiners
    • flour for dredging
    • vegetable oil for frying
    • wooden skewers


    Instructions


    1. Combine corn meal, flour, brown sugar and salt.
    2. Add the egg, 2 tablespoons oil and milk and mix.
    3. Skewer each weiner, dredge in flour and dip in batter.
    4. Deep fry at 375 degrees F. for 2-3 minutes until brown
