    Pepper Jelly Turnovers


    1 (5 ounce) jar Old English Cheese
    1 cup all purpose flour
    1/2 cup butter
    2 tablespoons ice water
    1/2 cup hot pepper jelly

    Cut cheese and butter into the flour, until fine. Quickly stir in the ice water and shape into a ball. Refrigerate overnight.
    Preheat oven t o 375 F
    Roll out dough,very thin, and cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.
    Place 1/2 teaspoon jelly in center of each circle, fold over and crimp edges with a fork. Bake for 10 minutes. Serves slightly warm.
    May be frozen before or after baking. Reheat before serving.
    Makes 2 to 3 dozen
    *** Note: Fill with orange marmalade and dust with powdered sugar to serve with tea or coffee.
