Toasted Pecans.
It wasn’t until I moved to Georgia, that I discovered the real glory of pecans, other than in mixed nuts or baking. Every reception has bowls of pecans sitting about.
I’ve had them so many ways that it’s hard to pick a favorite. These are right up there at the top of the list.
Toasted Pecans
4 cup pecans halves
1/.2 cup butter
4 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Melt the butter.
Toss the nuts in the butter, add rest of ingredients and mix well.
Spread on a 15 inch sheet pan. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring once or twice. Watch closely after 25 minutes. You want them well browned, but not burned.
