For the beginning cook, and the more experienced that thinks they can't cook rice.
List of Ingredients
- 2 1/2 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 2 1/4 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup blanched almonds, slivered
Instructions
- In a small skillet, over medium heat, stir rice in butter until brown
- Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole
- Add onion soup mix, water and almond
- Add soup mix, boiling water, and almonds
- Cover tightly
- Bake at 325 F for 25 minutes
- Uncover and bake 5 minutes more
