1 pound shoulder roast -- diced
1 cup diced potatoes
1 cup baby lima beans
1 can tomatoes
1 chopped onion
1 small can corn
1 tablespoon sugar
1 can beef broth
2 cans water
Recipe
Brown beef in oil. Add beef broth and water and simmer 1 hour. Then add beans, potatoes, onions, and tomatoes. Simmer about 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add sugar and corn. Simmer about 10 more minutes.
Serve hot with corn bread or saltines.
