4 each potatoes -- cut up
3 pounds stew meat -- cubed
1 each tomatoes -- cubed
2 cups diced celery
6 carrots -- cut up
3 onions -- sliced
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons tapioca -- instant
1 clove garlic -- minced
Recipe
In a good sized casserole or a small roaster, mix all ingredients (not necessary to brown meat). Cover and bake in a 250 degree oven for 5 hours. May be stirred once during cooking, but not really necessary.
To vary flavor, add 1/2 cup dry red wine or any other ingredients you prefer.
Serve with hard roll and salad.
