3/4 cups oats
1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp
1/4 cup of water
1 1/2 sticks melted margarine
1 cup chocolate chips
1 pkg (14 oz) vanilla caramels
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine first 5 ingredients. Add margarine. Mix until creamy. Reserve one cup for topping. Press remaining mixture in a pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool and top with nuts and chocolate pieces. In a saucepan, melt caramels with water over low heat. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat. Drizzle over chocolate to within 1/4 of pan edges. Sprinkle with reserve oat mixture. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until light brown. Cool and chill until chocolate is set.
