12 small beets, cooked
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tbsl cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tbls butter
Recipe
Mix sugar and cornstarch. Ad vinegar and water and boil 5 minutes. Add beets to hot sauce and let stand at least 30 minutes. Just before serving, bring to a boil and add butter.
These can also be poured into preserve jars ,refrigerated and served later.
