Thank you, dear Canadian friend, for sharing this delicious recipe. It's a nice change from the usual meatloaf
List of Ingredients
1 1/2 to 2 pounds lean ground beef
2 eggs
2/3 cup milk
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1 large onion, chopped
1 tbls. Worchestershire Sauce
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup shredded carrots
Sauce for toping:
1/4 brown sugar
1/4 catsup
1 tbls. prepared mustard
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350º.
Place ground beef in a large bowl. In a seperate bowl, beat eggs, milk, salt, pepper and bread crumbs. Add onions, carrot and cheese to egg mixture, mixing well; then, add to the meat and mix thoroughly with (clean!) hands. Pack in a baking pan; mix the 'topping' and pour over loaf. Bake for 1 hour or until done. Let sit for at least 10 minutes before serving.
