    My aunt brought this cake to a family reunion in Texas and everyone requested the recipe!

    List of Ingredients




    3 cups flour

    2 cups sugar

    1 tsp. Soda

    ½ tsp. Cinnamon

    ½ tsp. Nutmeg

    ½ tsp. Salt

    2 eggs, well-beaten

    1 ½ cups vegetable oil

    1 cup walnuts, chopped

    3 cups capples, peeled and chopped (She used Winesap apples)

    Preheat oven to 350º.

    Sift together the first six ingredients; make a well and add the eggs then remaining ingredients, mix well.. Pour into well-greased and floured 9” x 13” pan, bake for 60 to 75 minutes, or, until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
