List of Ingredients
1 tsp. olive oil, or, vegetable shortening
1 lb.lean ground beef
1 lge. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
3/4 long grain rice
1 tsp. salt
l 4 oz. can mushrooms
Recipe
Brown meat in oil in large skillet, add onions, celery and green pepper...cook until vegetables are crispy-tender, break up meat with fork. Add mushrooms with liquid and remaining ingredients. Sir to blend, then turn into casserole dish and bake at 350º for 1 hour.
(I like to add sliced water chestnuts to this dish.)
