    CORN PONE PIE

    List of Ingredients

    2 pound lean ground beef
    1 cup chopped onions
    2 tbls. vegetable oil
    1 tbls. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tbls. Worchestershire sauce
    1 can diced tomatoes
    1 can kidney bens, drained
    About 1 1/2-2 cups cornbread batter (or use Jiffy Mix)

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 425º.
    Brown meat and chopped onions in oil, add seasonings and tomatoes. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes; add kidney means. Pour meat mixture into a greased 2 quart casdserole dish. Top with the cornbread batter, spreading carefully with a wet knife. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cornbread is golden brown.
